Ethnography  (The term  ethnic  has Greek origin –  ethnicus  and  ethnikas  both meaning nation; “grapho” – “describe” ) is one of the historical fields. As a written product, an ethnography is a richly descriptive account of the social life and culture of the group studied.  Ethnography has its roots planted in the fields of anthropology and sociology. Present-day practitioners conduct ethnographies in organizations and communities of all kinds. Ethnographers study schooling, public health, rural and urban development, consumers and consumer goods, any human arena. The scientists who work in this field named as “ethnologists” or “anthropologist”, who work with living people to explore and document their culture. Historical roots of Safavids go back to ancient periods. There have a lot of versions about the origin of Safavid dynasty. In historical literature there have mainly three conceptions about the ethnic origin of Safavids. Some   versions claim that the Safavids were Kurt (Persian), others claimed that they were Turkish  and one more sources indicated them as Arab origin. “Saffat-at-Safa” by Ismail ibn Bazzaz, is only source reflected the further ancestors of Safavids. The work of Darwish Tawakkul is about miracles, a typical sufi book and was composed in the second half of XIV century. The opinion of researches is remarkable that, very few manuscripts subjected changes such as “Saffat-at-Safa”. The elder son of Sheikh Heydar-Sultan Ali elected Ismail as a sheikh of the sect, before his death (1494). Ismail was dispatched to Ardabil with his followers. Although the death of Sultan Ali in Shamashi battle in 1494, his devoted Sufis supported the sons of Sheikh Heydar-Ismail and Ibrahim. Sufis helped them to hide in Ardabil. Then Eyba sultan who was ordered to catch the sons of Heydar by Rustam entered Ardabil population. Then, Ismail left mausoleum of Sheikh Safiaddin, where he hid with his mother-Alemshah Beyim, and he lived three days in the house of Qazi Ahmed Kakuli. Ismail several years lived in “Agh masjid”. Tarixdə hər bir millətə məxsus yüzlərlə simvollar,  rəmzlər mövcuddur. Türk millətinin də tarixində özünəməxsus rəmzlər və nişanlar yer alır. Türk kimliyinin və kültürünün ayrılmaz bir parçası olan bayraq və sancaqlar da Türk birlik və bağımsızlığının simgəsi-simvoludur. Veksillologiya  – bayraqları öyrənən elm. Azərbaycanda yeni, lakin perspektivli və vacib tədqiqat istiqamətlərindəndir. Yazımda türklərdə tuğ anlayışı; Ilk Müsəlman-Türk dövləti kimi qəbul edilən Qaraxanlıların (840-1212) bayraqlarında yer alan “doqquz tuğ” simvolu barədə məlumat yazacağam. Tuğ – Türklərdə ucuna atın quyruğu taxılmış mızraq. Rəvayətə görə, savaşda sancağını itirən bir türk, atının quyruğunu kəsib mızrağa taxmış və birliyi qorumuşdur. Beləliklə tuğ ortaya çıxmışdır. Sonralar bu quyruq rənglənmiş saçaqlarla əvəz olunmuşdur. Tuğlar zamanla qurdbaşlı bayraq da adlandırılıb. Bəzən hilaldan da istifadə olunan ( əsasən Osmanlı dönəmində) tuğlar, xanın əzəmətinin göstəricisi idi....

Məlumdur ki, Xristofor Kolumb Amerika qitəsini kəşf edən zaman, buranın “Qərbi Hindistan” olduğunu zənn edir və burada yaşayan tayfaları hindular (Indian)  adlandırır. Məhz bu qızıldərili-hindularla (Yeni Dünya Yerliləri) türklər arasında genetik bağlılıq vardır. Prof. Dr. Reha Oğuz Türkkanın “Türkler ve Kizilderililer” kitabının üz qabığından: “Atatürk’ün Son 20 Yılını Verdiği Büyük Araştırması”. Beləki,  DNT analizlərindən uzun zaman əvvəl Tomas Cefferson və  Constantin Rafines türklərlə qızıldərilər arasında ilkin bənzərlikləri gostərmişlər. Qızıldərililərin Asiya qitəsindən Bering boğazını keçib Amerikaya gəlməklərini də Tomas Cefferson təsdiqləmişdir. “Science” jurnalında yayımlanan məqaləyə görə, Oregon Universitetindən Dennis Jenkins tədqiq etdiyi  mağaradan əldə etdiyi DNA-ların Asiya kökəninə işarət etdiyini bildirmişdir. Türklərlə qızıldərilər arasında bənzərlik təkcə genetik faktorlarla məhdudlaşmır, həmçinin onlar arasında kültür bənzərlikləri...
